Selah is 6 Months Old!

Our sweet Selah is 6 months old today!! HALF A YEAR!! What did we ever do without her? She is getting stronger and smarter every day. It is so amazing watching her grow and learn new things. This little one is growing like crazy and soaking everything up like a sponge! She weighs in at 14lbs! We fall more in love every day. Here is a list of new things this 6 month old can do!

  • Loves peek-a-boo –> See video below!
  • Sits up strong -barely topples over–> See video below!
  • Began eating solids: She has had bananas, sweet potatoes, peas, carrots, apple sauce, and pears. Mommy purees all her foods for her and stores them in the freezer. –> See video below!
  • Favorite foods are pears, sweet potatoes and butternut squash
  • Slept straight through the night
  • Rolls in her sleep and LOVES sleeping on her tummy! (which scares mommy because one time mommy found her nose flat to the mattress!)
  • Watches cars drive by through the window
  • Doesn’t sleep in her bassinet anymore
  • Still sleeping in mom and dads room in the pack and play
  • Daddy is the only one who can rock her to sleep
  • Is on the verge of crawling
  • Does push ups/planks–> See video below!
  • Vocal play and lots of fart noises/raspberries–> See video below!
  • Loves kisses! Puts both hands on your face and opens her mouth and goes for your lips! Definitely wet slobbery kisses
  • Gave her first kiss where she actually smacked her lips together for daddy
  • Loves bath time
  • Loves her toys. She Is hitting buttons on her toys now to start music and lights
  • Loves her Jumperoo
  • Loves people!
  • Very observant. She watches everything
  • Still fights sleep
  • Loves sitting in her high chair to play with toys and tosses them off when she’s done with them
  • Daddy says she babbled for the first time on 09/04 and said “ma, ma, ma”
  • And now she is babbling more and more! –> See video below!
  • She reaches for things and tries to grab them
  • She can scoot backwards but is frustrated she can’t go forward!
