We Moved Back Home!

It has been a crazy ride, but we did it! We moved back to Illinois! It was a huge task moving across states, finding a good job, neighborhood, home, and then packing, moving, and now LOTS of home improvement! It has been WILD! Especially with a little one!

We moved to Maryville, IL in a quiet neighborhood at the end of a cul-de-sac. Maryville is a small town of approximately 7,500 people but it is very close to larger areas while still feeling like a small town. We are located 25 minutes to St. Louis, 20 minutes to O Fallon/Fairview Heights, 17 minutes to Edwardsville and next door to Collinsville and Glenn Carbon. We are also 1 hour and 20 min to our family in Pinckneyville and 2 hours to Carbondale where my grandparents live.

The home was built in 1995 so  it’s not too old but not new either which is why we are undergoing all of the home improvement! The previous owners really did not update anything, so everything needs some TLC. I know this sounds crazy, but we know this is our forever home. So we are willing to fix it up nice because we never want to move again. NEVER EVER AGAIN!

The home has a finished walk out basement and a fenced private back yard. We love that we aren’t looking into other backyards from our’s. The basement needs some TLC as well but we have already began that project!

We already love our neighbors, neighborhood, church, and home. We are so thankful for everyone who helped make the move possible, we had so much help. Thank you to Brian and Martha, Craig and Cathy, Mary and Steve, Pastor Smith and Laurie, Valley and Kala, Jim Fuhr, Jim Kesick, Steve, Darron, and Landon. Shot out to Josh for driving that HUGE Penske truck which is no fun! Also especially thankful for Damon Penn for hooking us up with a great relator at the Resper Group. And of course thanks to the Resper Group for making our home purchase an easy process.
